About the team
At New Construction, our mission is to improve the shopping experience for buyers and enable builders to market their homes with a greater return on investment. Our platform reaches the greatest number of new construction home buyers in the country.
The Small Business team is newly formed. You will help build the Small Business customer base from the ground up and shape the sales playbook as you go. The team reports directly to the Senior Sales Manager, New Construction, and works closely with partners across the New Construction organization.
About the role
The Sales Executive, Small Business, New Construction acquires new Small Business builder partners through targeted outreach and value-driven selling, building a strong pipeline and closing net-new business for Promoted Homes, a new product built for builders who buy a single lot and build a spec home to sell to a buyer, rather than developing a full community.
This is a high-volume outbound role. You will prospect, qualify and close a large number of small builders through a standardized sales cycle with established pricing and contracting guardrails. This position is a key revenue driver for Zillow New Construction, and the compensation plan rewards performance. This is a fully remote role: you will own a regional territory as part of a team with national coverage, and no travel is expected.
You will get to
- Execute high-volume outbound calls and outreach to identify and qualify Small Business builders in your region who are a strong fit for Promoted Homes, and respond promptly to inbound interest.
- Conduct consultative sales conversations to understand builder needs and position Promoted Homes, its pricing and its value, including listing quality, media readiness and what is needed to activate.
- Manage a standardized sales cycle from first conversation to close, within established pricing and contracting guardrails, using Salesforce to log all activity, next steps and deal stages, Gong and Gong Engage to run outreach and review calls, and Highspot to find sales content.
- Collaborate with onboarding and activation partners to make clean handoffs, set clear builder expectations, and support a positive initial experience for new customers.
- Analyze territory, lead and performance data to prioritize outreach and refine messaging, and capture recurring objections and customer feedback to improve pricing, packaging, qualification and the sales playbook, while meeting or exceeding assigned activity, conversion and sales targets.
