Job Description:

Shield is seeking a Marketing Strategy & Analytics Manager to drive strategic planning, cross-functional programs, and performance analysis across the Marketing organization. This role will partner closely with Marketing leadership and stakeholders across the company to translate business priorities into actionable plans, lead key initiatives, and use data to guide decisions and measure progress.

The ideal candidate combines structured problem-solving, program leadership, and analytical skills. They can frame an ambiguous business question, develop a recommendation, align stakeholders, and drive execution. They are equally comfortable leading a cross-functional initiative, evaluating marketing performance, and preparing clear, decision-oriented communications for senior leadership.

What you'll do:

    • Partner with Marketing leadership to develop annual and quarterly operating plans, including strategic priorities, resource allocation, success metrics, and targets.

    • Own strategic initiatives and cross-functional programs from scoping through execution, defining workstreams, milestones, owners, and measures of success.

    • Work across Marketing, Business Development, Product, and Finance to align priorities, resolve dependencies, and address risks to execution.

    • Lead analyses that inform marketing strategy, investment decisions, and program improvements, translating business questions into analytical approaches and actionable recommendations.

    • Synthesize performance across marketing channels and functions to explain results, identify opportunities, and recommend next steps.

    • Establish and manage operating rhythms, including quarterly business reviews, leadership updates, and initiative tracking, to maintain visibility and accountability.

    • Prepare executive-ready business reviews, strategic updates, and decision support materials that connect performance, business implications, and recommended actions.

    • Own business requirements for marketing measurement and reporting, partnering with MarTech and technical teams to ensure dashboards and data capabilities support decision-making.

    • Identify and implement improvements to planning, reporting, and cross-functional workflows that help Marketing execute more effectively.

Required qualifications:

    • 5–8+ years of experience in marketing strategy, strategy and operations, marketing analytics, strategy consulting, or a similar role.

    • Strong structured problem-solving skills, with experience turning ambiguous business questions into clear analyses, recommendations, and execution plans.

    • Demonstrated ability to own complex, cross-functional programs from planning through execution, managing stakeholders, dependencies, and outcomes.

    • Strong analytical skills, including experience evaluating performance, identifying underlying drivers, and using data to inform strategic and operational decisions.

    • Familiarity with marketing analytics, CRM, and visualization platforms such as Google Analytics, Salesforce, Marketo, Looker Studio, or Tableau.

    • Working knowledge of SQL, data modeling, or reporting infrastructure sufficient to collaborate effectively with technical partners.

    • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, executive-ready narratives and decision materials.

    • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and align teams around shared priorities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate independently with a high degree of ownership and accountability.

Preferred qualifications:

    • Experience with marketing funnel measurement, attribution, and cross-channel performance analysis.

    • Experience translating business needs into data and reporting requirements.

    • Experience using AI and automation tools to improve analysis, reporting, program management, or team workflows.
