Legal Operations Assistant Contracts & Administration
Job Summary
We are seeking an organized, proactive, and tech-savvy Legal Operations Assistant to support our growing legal function. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal, you will serve as the operational backbone of the department—streamlining day-to-day legal workflows, organizing contracts and legal documentation, managing intake requests, and helping implement operational best practices.
This role begins as a 3-month remote engagement with strong potential for extension or permanent conversion for the right candidate.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage Ironclad workflows, contract intake, approvals, signatures, and filing.
- Help with MSAs, DPAs, NDAs, order forms, vendor agreements, and other contracts.
- Research issues and prepare initial contract reviews and redlines for attorney review.
- Work with Sales, Finance, and other teams to keep matters moving.
- Handle legal administration, correspondence, document management, scheduling, and follow-up.
- Help improve processes and automate repetitive tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any field. Engineering, operations research, business, economics, humanities, and other backgrounds are welcome. Recent graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong reading, writing, organizational, technology, analytical, and research skills.
- Smart, diligent, reliable, resourceful, and able to figure things out independently.
- Comfortable using Google, AI tools, and other resources to learn new things and solve problems.
- Attention to detail and careful with confidential information.
- Interested in handling both substantive assignments and routine administrative work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior legal experience or familiarity with Ironclad is helpful but not required. No JD, bar admission, or paralegal certificate required.
Salary Range: $45.00-$65.00 per hour
(Actual compensation will be based on experience, location, and other relevant factors.)
