About Turing

Turing’s mission is to accelerate superintelligence to drive real economic progress. Headquartered in San Francisco, Turing works with frontier AI labs to generate high-quality datasets, reinforcement learning environments, and frontier research benchmarks that improve model capabilities in software engineering, enterprise knowledge work, and advanced STEM reasoning. In software engineering, Turing is the largest and longest-running data provider in the category. Turing also works with Fortune 500 enterprises across financial services, life sciences, healthcare, retail, automotive, and CPG to build and deploy end-to-end agentic AI systems inside mission-critical workflows. Why Join Enterprise AI?

Turing’s Financial Services team brings enterprise AI into the world’s leading banks, asset managers, private equity firms, and insurers. We work with some of the largest investment banks, asset managers, and private equity firms in the world.

We built this business from the ground up and compete with the largest consulting firms every day by bringing greater depth in AI.

As Client Director, Business Development, BFSI, you will develop relationships across a targeted portfolio of financial services accounts, identify high-value opportunities, and turn initial projects into multi-year AI programs. You will lead initial customer conversations, bring in solutions engineers and AI architects, and own the commercial process through the first SOW and into the second.

This is an opportunity for an experienced financial services seller to move from the services era into an AI-native company and develop a portfolio of high-value AI engagements that defines the next decade of their career.

Why This Role Matters

Financial services firms are moving beyond AI experimentation and looking to deploy AI in regulated environments, on data that remains inside the firm, and across operational workflows that have historically been difficult to automate.

Turing combines deep relationships with frontier AI labs and enterprise deployment capabilities to help financial services organizations move from experimentation to production.

Over the next 12 months, you will help grow the financial services business significantly. Turing leads with a platform that remains in place after delivery, creating the foundation for future engagements. New MSAs can close in approximately four months, even in an industry where enterprise agreements often take years.

As Client Director, Business Development, BFSI, You Will

Develop and Prioritize the Target Account Portfolio

Take ownership of an existing portfolio of target financial services accounts, prioritizing opportunities across mid-size and regional banks, private equity and alternatives managers, asset managers, and insurers. Partner with the General Manager, BFSI, to refine account priorities and develop a focused business development strategy within your first 90 days.

Develop Executive Relationships and Create Opportunities

Build relationships at the Managing Director level and above, including within COO, CIO, and head-of-operations offices. Identify opportunities to apply Turing’s AI capabilities to high-value business problems and lead initial relationship conversations.

Own the Deal

Qualify opportunities based on sponsor, budget, and intent to reach production. Bring in solutions engineers and AI architects early, direct what they pitch, and scope and price deals that combine platform and services.

Create the Path to the Second Project

Remain commercially accountable beyond the first SOW, establishing a clear path to a multi-year AI program. Partner with the engagement lead after the initial sale while maintaining ownership of identifying, developing, and closing the second project.

Run a Disciplined Forecast

Manage a focused pipeline and provide a forecast you can stand behind. Track opportunities from the first relationship conversation through SOW signature and future expansion.

The Anti-Sell

Business development focus: This role is focused on developing opportunities and driving revenue across a targeted portfolio of financial services accounts. This is not a traditional account management or customer success role focused primarily on renewals, relationship maintenance, or delivery oversight. The emphasis is on proactively developing opportunities and driving commercial growth across the assigned account portfolio.

Commercial ownership, not delivery ownership: You will own the sales process and first SOW, but not delivery or engagement P&L.

Partner-led technical solutioning: You will not own technical solution design. Solutions engineers and AI architects will lead that work.

Proactive business development: This role is not for someone who relies primarily on renewals, passive account management, or procurement-led selling. You will be expected to proactively develop executive relationships, identify high-value business opportunities, generate demand, and lead consultative sales conversations.

High autonomy: This is a self-directed role requiring the judgment and drive to work independently while remaining accountable to a small leadership team.

Our Financial Services Business Development Leaders Typically Have

Deep financial services selling experience: At least 10 years selling technology services, data, or AI solutions into financial services organizations.

Enterprise sales success: A demonstrated record of developing and closing complex enterprise engagements worth $1 million or more, with personal ownership of the commercial sales process.

Executive-level relationships: A network at the Managing Director level and above, including relationships with COO, CIO, and head-of-operations leaders who will take your call.

Full-cycle enterprise selling: Experience leading enterprise sales from initial relationship development through qualification, solution shaping, pricing, negotiation, and signed SOW.

Consultative and technical fluency: The ability to lead with the customer’s problem, understand AI deployment concepts, and work effectively with solutions engineers and AI architects.

Self-directed execution: The drive to work independently, maintain a disciplined forecast, and remain accountable to a small leadership team.
